It is one of the most famous palm trees in Algeria. Long trunk or dark brown solid stipe bears the scars of old leaves. The bright green palms (leaves) of 4 to 5 m form a perfect crown that gives an exotic atmosphere to the green spaces.
Male subjects develop short cream inflorescences, female legs have orange-yellow flowers and bear small inedible orange dates

C’est l’un des palmiers les plus connus en Algérie. Tronc long ou stipe massif brun foncé porte les cicatrices des anciennes feuilles. Les palmes (feuilles) vertes brillantes de 4 à 5 m formant une parfaite couronne qui donne une ambiance exotique aux espaces verts.
Les sujets mâles développent de courtes inflorescences crème, les pieds femelles ont des fleurs jaunes orange et portent des petites dattes orange non comestibles
