ENGLISH 

The orange tree, Citrus sinensis, is a beautiful citrus fruit that forms an elegant little tree. Very decorative by its dark foliage, its fragrant white bloom and its many characteristic fruits, it adorns terraces and balconies in large pots and, in the ground, the Mediterranean and Atlantic gardens in a sheltered situation. The glossy dark green foliage is persistent.

1. The typical large, rounded fruits with orange bark ripen between November and March. Their sweet and low acid flavor, very fragrant, is appreciated by all. Oranges are eaten as table fruit, or processed into marmalades and juices.

L’oranger, Citrus sinensis, est un bel agrume qui forme un élégant petit arbre. Très décoratif par son feuillage foncé, sa floraison blanche parfumée et ses nombreux fruits caractéristiques, il orne terrasses et balcons en grand pot et, en plein terre, les jardins méditerranéens et atlantiques en situation abritée. Le feuillage vert foncé lustré est persistant.

• Les gros fruits typiques, arrondis, à l’écorce orangée, mûrissent entre novembre et mars. Leur saveur douce et peu acide, très parfumée, est appréciée de tous. On consomme les oranges en fruits de table, ou transformées en marmelades et jus.
